LONDON! Part 1

Yes, you read that right! Ryan and I snuck away to London for a whole WEEK, and had the best time ever. We left the kids in Clark and Christy's very capable hands and didn't even look back. We wandered all over London visiting our favorite neighborhoods, eating at our favorite restaurants, discovering new places, and just enjoying being free and on our own schedule. It was bliss, and our great hotel, The Langham, was right in Oxford Circus. There couldn't have been a better, more central location to everything.

The old-school telephone booths, which you would never, ever use because they are so disgusting. Hence the reason I am just opening the door and not actually inside!
When we lived in London seven years ago, Ryan and I never made it to the London Eye. So, we made this our first stop once we got there. It was a 30 minute ride from start to finish and the views were amazing. It was definitely worth the cost and wait!
You can see Big Ben and Parliament...
Here is what the pods look like. This picture was taken at the very top of the Eye...
After our ride, we walked along the Thames River and enjoyed all the people and all of London lit up for the night...
Crossing over one of the many bridges, we walked past St. Paul's Cathedral...
 Our main tube stop...
