The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania

Ryan had this brilliant idea to visit The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania during Fall break, so we headed out to Wellsboro for a fun, quick weekend trip out of town. I'm not sure the canyon was quite comparable to the actual Grand Canyon, but we had a fun time anyway just being together and exploring new territory.

Wellsboro was an adorable little town that had no idea what to do with a family of six. Every restaurant we went to looked at us like we had three heads when we asked for a table because every place in town was so small and the tables sat mostly three or four people. But it was a great place to stay since the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon was only miles away...

Our hotel room at this place was awesome! Plus an indoor pool and free breakfast... AND cheap!...

Cute little town park with a fountain...

Wellsboro Main Street...

Perfect spot for Ella to practice her piano...

We went to see Abominable at the town's little theater and couldn't help but laugh at the marquee outside...

Local church...

Bird's eye view of the canyon...

Heading down into the canyon...

We reached the bottom and skipped rocks for a while before heading back up...

Once we reached the top again we questioned Hudson about why his pant pockets were bulging. He emptied them out for us and discovered he's 3/4 squirrel...

Just livin' the dream!... =-)

PA's Grand Canyon is a whole lot greener than the actual Grand Canyon!..
