Camping at Hickory Run in the Poconos

We've gone on two camping trips this past month and our family is HOOKED! Our first was to Hickory Run in the Poconos with the Wengler, Warnick, and Smith families. The kids had a total blast and I've never laughed so hard in my life. I've realized that camping with other families is the way to go. The kids and adults are entertained the WHOLE time and there's always backup if you forget anything. We happened to pick the COLDEST weekend to go camping and the Asays were not very prepared! The temperatures dropped into the 30s at night and didn't get much warmer during the day. We spent a lot of time keeping warm around the fire, ate some very awesome food, hopped around the boulder field, played card games, made beaded jewelry and face mask holders, fished, and let the kids run around like wild animals exploring, buiding forts, and enjoying nature. It was amazing!
