Hudson turns EIGHT!

Hudson turned eight years old today and I can't understand where the time has gone.  Looking back through eight years of pictures I'd say he hasn't changed much other than height. He is the same sweet, kind boy he always has been. He is smart, funny, quirky, high energy, loving, snuggly, silly, easily distracted, and has some pretty incredible eyebrow movements. He also says some really funny things!!

Currently, the boy loves to eat, play BeyBlades with his best buddy and neighbor Sam, jump on the trampoline, tromp through the woods in our backyard, play Nintendo, and watch We Bears on Netflix. Even on the coldest, windiest days, he is outside as soon as virtual school is over with his BeyBlades and arena in hand waiting for Sam to come over. The two boys (and usually a few other neighbor friends who stop by) spend hours and hours outside in the freezing cold playing until it's too dark to see anything and I send everyone home. It's been the best to see him enjoy being outside so much and spending so much time with friends!

Since this is Hudson's EIGHTH birthday, that means we will have our last and final baptism in our family. Covid is still a problem around the world right now so his baptism next weekend will look very different than his sisters, but we are going to try and do everything we can to make it special!

For Hudson's birthday, he requested egg and potato casserole for his special birthday breakfast and Cheesecake Factory take out for dinner. And, since his real birthday was on Sunday, he got to pick another birthday dinner... and lucky for me, he requested frozen pizza and veggies. Super fancy, kiddo!

Opening gifts... he got a woodworking kit, Transformers, and a gem digging kit. Plus, a lot of nice cards and money...

Brooklyn met Hudson's dessert expectations with simple chocolate brownies and vanilla ice cream...
