Last Saturday we drove to Sunrise Ski Resort hoping to ride the chair lift to the top of the mountain and hike down. We got there just as a huge storm started brewing overhead, so they closed the lift and we headed over to Greer to eat lunch instead. We stopped at a place we ate at three years ago that burned down last year. The restaurant was gone but the field of grass and the two ponds were still there, so we played around a bit before heading to a new place to eat just down the street.
Presley and Brooklyn found an old fallen-down tree to walk across...
Stomping around in the grass...
Hudson is always along for the ride. He looks pretty happy to be wandering around.
So when we were here three years ago (before the restaurant burned down), we got a family picture very similar to this one. At the time, I was 9 months pregnant with Kendall and just four weeks away from delivery. Look at us now! Two kids later! Holy Cow!
Uncle H, Cave and Presley are so fun to hang out with. We wish we could see all of our aunts, uncles, cousins and Sugar more often.
Ella and Brooklyn have taken up roller skating and roller blading, and Kendall has started biking. They are loving it all and go out front on the driveway several times a day to practice. I think we will have to purchase our own when we get back to PA.
There are plenty of bikes, blades, skates, helmets, knee and elbow pads for all the kids. Here they are all suited up and ready to roll.
Uncle H chillin' with the munchkins on the hammock. Brooklyn, Presley, Case, Ella and Kendall.
Uncle H and Cave look like trouble.
Sugar with all of her grandkids... Brooklyn, Berkley, Presley, Blake, Kendall, Ella, Hudson, Ledger, Cave, Brody, and Case.
Hudson's first black eye. The first of many, I'm sure. He fell face first into the corner of the toy cash register. Boy I've never heard him cry quite like that before. Poor thing!
