Thanksgiving in Yardley 2017

We were so lucky to have Clark and Christy all the way from Utah, and Layne and Connor all the way from New Jersey here for Thanksgiving. We missed Shelley, who was in California with her new grandbaby, Niko.

We celebrated with the usual fanfare... turkey (which was actually delicious this year thanks to my new thermometer), mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, rolls, sweet potatoes, and stuffing, and pie, cheesecake and pumpkin cake with whipped cream and ice cream to top it all off.

Unfortunately, I was so consumed with preparing and eating food, I forgot to take pictures.

Just before Thanksgiving, Hudson had his school program. It was adorable. They acted out the story of the Pilgrims traveling to America on the Mayflower, and the Native Americans who helped them plant corn and hunt for food. The show ended with a big Thanksgiving feast with the Pilgrims and Native Americans. Hudson was a great Native American in the program.
