Camping at Lake Towhee

Another successful weekend campout in the books, and we managed to do it without Ryan (he was in CA) and without getting rained on (but it was close). This time we went with the Wenglers, Warnicks, and Herways and had another amazing time. We must have looked a bit strange to the other campers at the campground when we showed up because Jeff was the only man in our group of four women and 13 kids. I'm sure we looked like polygamists! Luckily for Jeff, the rest of the husbands (aside from Ryan) showed up later Friday night after their meetings and phone calls. Our campsite at Lake Towhee was beautiful with the Fall leaves changing colors and a lake nearby! The kids enjoyed Mother Nature and making para cord bracelets with Jeff Warnick, who has now been designated as activities chair. At the last campout he had the kids make compasses out of string and magnets. This time, he spend about five hours making these para cord bracelets with each one of the kids... all 13 of them! We're hoping to get one more campout in once Saturday soccer games end and before it gets too cold.
