Woods - Day 2

On Thursday, Ella and Brooklyn went to school and the rest of us drove to a cute little town called Newtown for the morning. After eating breakfast at a little cafe, we walked around and finished up at the Zebra-Stripped Whale for ice cream and chocolate-covered pretzels. This little goodie shop is so dang cute. I just love it.

After school, we threw the kids in the car and drove to Grounds for Sculpture for a picnic lunch and a lot of running around. This was an interesting place, a new adventure for me. The whole garden was filled with some interesting and questionable sculptures, most of which the kids could have cared less about. However, it was beautiful and they loved running around on the grass and through the trees.

We ate our lunch on this table, under this tree, near this pond, in the most beautiful, picturesque place in the park. It was a prime location and I didn't want to leave.

 This was Ella's favorite sculpture...
