Apparently, Field Day is a pretty big event every year at Ella's elementary school. Shirts are purchased, teams are established, games are reviewed, and then it's all out war. However, to keep the little Kindergarteners safe from the rough, rowdy, competitive 1st-5th graders, they have their own field day. The kids played the funnest games, rocked out to some very fun music, signed each other's team shirts, and just had a super fun time being together and out of the classroom. It was fun to watch Ella interact with all of her friends and classmates and to help out with some of the games. Lately, I've been feeling like I'm at her school just as much as she is.
Ella wanted everyone to sign her shirt, even mom and dad. We felt so cool.
Again, Ryan ran home from work to be there to cheer Ella and the "black" team on to victory. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually got fired for leaving the office so much this past month to attend all of these school events. That's a great dad for ya!
Even Kendall got to hang out with the big kids.
Kendall wanted to participate in the games. She did pretty good balancing the bean bag on her head and... jumping with the ball between her ankles. It was hilarious watching her copy the older kids and try whatever they were doing.
At the end of the games they had a tug-of-war competition. The girls won over the boys the first go round, but Ms. Mitsos class beat Ms. Dender's class in the end.
Ella on the tail end.
That's Ella's teacher, Ms. Dender, at the tail with the bright orange hair.
