Ella was in charge of the Christmas lights this year... at least until she couldn't reach any higher... then Christy took over. So, the bottom of our tree had basically one strand of lights, and the top half had three strands. Hudson was next in line to put the star on top of the tree. I actually had to go back through all my digital pictures to the past four Christmases to find out whose turn it was to be the star topper person. Of course every kid threw a fit and Hudson could have cared less, but we have to stick with the rules, right, or it could be absolute chaos every year. Oh wait, it totally is anyway!
See the one strand of lights on the bottom of the tree? Thanks Christy for taking over light duty. I think Ella was too excited to move on to the ornaments...
It's nice to see that foot rest is good for something...
And of course, Hudson has to copy everything his sisters do...
I'm not sure how long we're going to be able to keep up this tradition of taking turns placing the star on top of the tree. Ella and Brooklyn are getting way to heavy now for Ryan to lift all the way up to the top of the tree. Hudson tried really hard to get it on there, but just couldn't quite get it...
We finally gave up and let Kendall do it...
The masterpiece is finished and it's time for bed for these worn-out little monkeys. The Christmas season is off to a great start so far...
Is Hudson old enough now to remember Christmas this year?...
One more picture before we have to say goodbye to grandma and grandpa. We hate when everyone leaves us, but we're so glad they could come and spend Thanksgiving with us and help us get ready for Christmas...
