Horseback riding in AZ

Another fun and memorable summer at our cabin in Pinetop, AZ. One of the first "outings" we took when we got to Pinetop was a visit to the horse stables just down the road. We've come to learn that our girls love horses and love to be around them. I wish we had our own back home!

On our first day visiting the stables, the girls took a lesson with their cousins Anna and Aiden Bevier on horse safety, how to care for and saddle a horse, and took a ride around the stables - pretty basic, but important stuff (sorry Hudson, you were napping today). They each fell in love with their horses... Ella rode a huge (but old-aged) horse named Kyle, Brooklyn rode a small pony named Peanut, and Kendall rode Peanut's mother named Pumpkin. .. and couldn't wait to ride them again.

On day two, Ryan and Ella went on a one-hour trail ride through the trees and mountains,  and Brooklyn and Kendall rode around the stables again (you have to be at least 8 years old to do the trail ride. Hudson was napping again =-(). The stable hand told Ella she was a natural with the horses and had exactly the right demeanor to be an excellent rider. She also said how great it was that Brooklyn and Kendall had no fear of the horses. Now all we need to do is to buy a few horses of our own!

Aiden, Anna and Ella ready to ride...
