After long delays at the airport, we finally made it onto the airplane - only to have to wait another hour before we could take off. Luckily these four kids are the BEST kids ever - the delays didn't even phase them...
Lucky me, I have someone to snuggle with on the airplane...
We stayed our first night in a hotel in Denver, and we couldn't wait to play in the hotel pool the next morning...
Before we left Denver for Colorado Springs, we swung by to visit Grandma Lois. She looked great and we had a fun visit. Ella and Brooklyn played her their piano recital songs on the old piano in the background. Hudson and Kendall were more interested in playing with the resident cat...
Freezing cold and windy don't even begin to describe the conditions on the summit of Pikes Peak. Luckily, they had a gift shop - with donuts - to help warm us up...
Ahhh, the weather was absolutely perfect about half way down the mountain at this beautiful stop on the lake...
Pike's Peak in the background...
All the cousins at once. This never happens...
Interesting rock formations on the drive...
Gotta love signs like this...
I can't even remember the name of this town but it was adorable. We stopped for lunch and played games at the Penny Arcade...
Husdon spent all of his gaming money on these ride-on cars...
After Pikes Peak, we drove to Garden of the Gods. I was sure the rocks just barely balancing on the left were going to tip over and crush a vehicle...
The rock formations were amazing... and of course the color is unbelievable...
We got out of our cars, walked just a short ways, and the kids ran off to start climbing the huge rocks...
These two girls love spending time together. I wish they could do it more often...
Matthew sure had a lot of family in town for his baptism. It was so fun seeing everyone!...
Back at the Murray's, Ella made good use of their sidewalk chalk and colored this beautiful butterfly. It really was incredible - even more so in person...
At Matthew's baseball game, Ella and I decided it was the perfect place and weather for reading...
As we were leaving for the airport, Abby and Ella realized they had dressed alike...
