A fun day at the lake with the Felsteads and Woods where Ella and Brooklyn learned how to wakeboard, all four kids rode on the "couch," cliff jumped and saw wild horses. Uncle Jeremy even taught Hudson how to drive the boat. It was amazing to be at the lake again!...
We visited Grandpa Pomeroy at his house and Grandma Cecil at her care home several times while we were there. It was the last time we would get to Grandma Cecil alive and I'm so grateful for that time we had together...
Good times at the cabin with our cousins, aunts, uncles, Sugar and Jim. Hudson and Blake were inseparable and loved hanging out on the hammocks...
All the cousins together again (minus Berkley who was at a dance competition)...
In addition to all the Wood cousins, Jim's grandkids were there, too, which makes for lots of girl power...
Celebrating the 4th of July at the country club carnival. Thank goodness there were no goldfish prizes this year!...
Kendall and Sugar are like two peas in a pod. You can't tell they're related or anything!...
Face painting is a must at the carnival...
Our annual trip to Sunrise Ski Resort. We love taking the chair lift up to the top of the mountain and then hiking down with everyone. This is the first year Ryan has been able to come, too...
We finally got a family picture at the top of Sunrise Mountain...
What a view (and I don't mean the kids' backsides, although all those Allen Homes t-shirts sure look nice?)...
Ella's first time on one of these...
Fishing and crawdad hunting at the pond near my mom's cabin. We even found a snake...
Sugar has a fully loaded craft room at the cabin stocked full of just about anything and everything you could need to make anything at all. There was plenty of sewing taking place on a daily basis, and then there were these "fairy houses" we made with the stuff nature gave us...
On a short trip back to the valley, we visited my dad's grave...
And I even met up with my long-time best friends Katie Calvert, Nicole Spitler (Stroup), and Libby Milano (Giles). It had been YEARS since we'd seen each other so we had a lot of catching up to do...
Back up to the cabin and it was time for the country club golf clinic. Hudson was actually pretty good on the putting green...
Kendall gave it her best shot on the driving range...
Brooklyn has a pretty good swing and could probably be pretty good if she was interested in golfing, but she was more interested in just having fun with Berkley and Presley...
Ella was NOT thrilled to be doing the golf clinic, but she's such a good sport and put on her best smile every day...
After golf each day, the kids also played tennis with a coach who was awesome and soooo much fun!
After golf and tennis, it was play and craft time at the country club rec center. The Science Guy showed up one day and challenged the kids with all different and fun activities. This was the marble run. Kendall and Cave stuck together for this project...
Ella helped the rest of the kids (Hudson and Blake mostly) with theirs...
Family Bingo Night was a SUCCESS this year. Nearly EVERY kid in our group won something. In fact, I think Ella was the ONLY one who didn't.
Getting ready to kick off the big golf tournament...
Hudson shot a 23 on the Boys 1 Hole; Kendall shot a 16 on the Girls 1 Hole; Brooklyn shot a 34 on the Girls 3 Hole; and Ella shot a 25 on the Girls 3 Hole winning her Third Place...
One last hurrah with the Woods at PF Changs before heading back to PA...
Smiles and tears at the airport as we said goodbye to Sugar...
