For weeks leading up to her birthday, Kendall was adamant that she wanted to have her birthday dinner at Firehouse Subs. However, at the last minute she changed her mind and asked to go to Continental Tavern in Yardley Boro. Afterwards we walked over to the new ice cream shop in town, Lena's Ice Cream, for treats.
After dinner we came home and opened gifts - Kendall's favorite part, of course (apologies for her crazy hair. She took out her top bun just as she was starting)...
Brooklyn found this cute panda eye mask at Five Below, along with a bath bomb, for her little sister...
Aunt Michel and Uncle Chris give her this fun game called Bee Baptized...
And a cute book about the Holy Ghost...
The Bargerys gave her two new pair of earrings "just in case she gets her ears pierced..."
GPa Pomeroy sent her eight one-dollar bills to count (and spend, as she does so well!)...
More money from Sugar and Jim to burn a hole in Kendall's pocket. Saving is not an option for this eight-year-old...
A gift card from Grandma and Grandpa Asay just made her day...
Those new earrings will come in handy. Ryan and I gave her a gift certificate to get her ears pierced...

Over and done with pretty fast and she didn't even flinch. She chose the earrings with her green birthstone...
At her annual check up, Kendall had grown to 4 feet 2 inches, and now weighs 56 pounds. She passed her sight and hearing tests and got the run down on stranger danger and wearing her helmut when on wheels. Then she got the thumbs up that she was absolutely perfect, which we already (kinda) knew! Happy birthday my sweet and beautiful baby girl. You have a big heart and you use it well!!
