Wood Family Christmas - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

We left the Georgia Aquarium and drove four hours north to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to our rental cabin in the mountains. It was pouring rain and completely pitch black by the time we arrived at the turnoff that took us straight up the steep, winding, narrow mountain-side path to the cabin. I think we all thought we were going to die going up in the huge vans that barely fit on the "road." Luckily HC and Jer were driving and we made it save and sound!

The cabin my mom rented for us was incredible. It was huge and fun with bunk beds and game rooms for the kids, separate master bedrooms and bathrooms for all of the adults, a large kitchen, laundry, hot tub, walking trails, a basketball net on the driveway, fireplace, and a Christmas tree already set up to boot! THE KIDS HAD A BALL!!

Monday morning we woke up and headed straight to Dollywood Theme Park for a full day of down-home country Christmas in the Smoky Mountains. Dollywood did NOT disappoint! The rides were all so fun and there was a great variety for the younger kids and older kids, plus they played all of my favorite Christmas music from Dolly, Kenny Rogers, and other country music stars. I was in heaven.

Nothing like the feeling you get from being dropped from a 10-story building. Presley, Brooklyn, Blake, Kendall and Nicole don't seem too bothered by it...
