We attempted an outing on Saturday to Ringing Rocks. We were getting a little stir crazy at home and that seemed like a COVID safe place to go that was open for business. Apparently, we weren't the only ones with that idea. The place was packed and we drove around trying to find a parking spot for about 15/20 minutes when we finally gave up and went to another nearby trail to hike. Lucky for us, it was empty.
It was a quick, easy and beautiful hike that took us on a path through trees and tall grasses and over rocks to an overlook of the Delaware River. All was well, and we were turning around to head back to the car when Ella and Hudson were attacked by bees and stung. Not the best way to end our outing.
In other news of similar excitement, I had ANOTHER run-in with posion ivy while weeding our yard. This time, it somehow got all over my nose (and a little inside one nostril), around one eye, around both earlobes, on my stomach, my arms, legs and back. It was again AWFUL! Thank heavens for manditory face masks cause my face was oozing something awful for several days until I was able to get on an oral steroid to help.
Good times!
