Secret Agent Birthday Party

Okay, I finally freed up enough space on my computer's hard drive to download some of the birthday party pictures. Some... not all.

Ella's Secret Agent-themed birthday party this year was so much fun. The 'agents' got to thumb-print their picture ID badges upon arrival at the Asay Spy Agency Headquarters. Then they went through agent training, which included learning specialized driving techniques, balance, dodging laser beams, 'rock' climbing, crawling through tunnels, jumping through tires, digging for clues, etc. They also learned how to dress in disguise, 'diffuse' bombs, and shoot targets. Their last task was to go on a Top Secret Mission to find their Secret Agent Spy Kits.

Of course, there would have been no party if my mom, Jim, Clark and Christy hadn't flown all the way here to help. Thanks guys.

The wind was absolutely CRAZY all day long. Getting this black tarp entrance cover to stay put was our challenge of the day. The signs say, "Welcome to Asay Spy Agency Headquarters" and "Authorized Personnel Only."
This was the "check-in" desk where the kids got their own picture ID badges. They had to thumb print and sign them. They wore them throughout the party. At the end of the party, if they made it through all of their agent training, they got star stickers on their badges. Of course, Ella had to be there to greet her very best friend, Gabrielle, when she came through the door.
At the start of the obstacle course, the kids had to drive this car around the pots of flowers. Go, Ella, go.
Harper all dress up in disguise during the relay race.
Ella, too.
These two best friends are inseparable!
I love this picture of Michael running around the yard with his water gun during target training.
Some of the kids trying to "diffuse" the bombs (a.k.a. trying to pop the balloons).
It was so funny to watch these kids shoot water at the targets we hung around the yard.
They found another Mission Impossible clue leading them closer to their Secret Agent Spy Kits (a.k.a. goodie bags).
Here's what the front of Ella's ID badge looked like. She's getting pretty good at writing her name, isn't she? Now we need to teach her how to line the letters up correctly. She earned her training stars.
This was the back side of the badges with their thumb prints.
I love this picture of Brooklyn holding on to her Secret Agent Spy Kit, sucking on a sucker while testing her balance on the wood planks. Can you just see the huge grin on her face!?

  1. So cute, Ash! Can you come plan my next party? I am filing this one away in my head, so I can remember it for my kids sometime.
