The past few weeks, Ella has been learning about "outer space" at school. They built a huge spaceship out of cardboard appliance boxes and a mission control center complete with old telephones, keyboards, etc. The kids LOVED it and took turns "flying" to outer space every day. They also made spacesuits to wear while exploring space.
So all of this space exploration meant a trip to the Planetarium. As you can see from the picture below, my two girls were SOOOO EXCITED to go. (Although when we dropped Kendall off at a friend's house on the way to the Planetarium Ella started crying because she felt so bad Kendall didn't get to go with us.)
At the Planetarium, Ella and her classmates watched a really cute movie to learn more about the moon and earth... staring Elmo and Big Bird. Afterwards we walked around to see the different exhibits and pictures.
