New Year's Eve Bash

We usually spend New Year's Eve as a family, at home, playing games, eating food, counting down (to 7pm), making lots of noise, then going to bed. This year, I figured we might as well do the same thing, but with friends! So, at the last minute, we invited friends, bought food and party supplies, and called it good. It was way more fun with everyone!

After a big dinner of meatball hoagies, veggies, salad, fruit, chips, dips, and pizza bread sticks, the kids played like crazy in the basement while the grown-ups watched football, talked, and ate some more. At ten minutes to midnight (or 7pm, if you were smart enough to notice I changed all the clocks) we called up the kids, handed out party supplies and noise makers and counted down to 2015!  When the noise and confetti poppers finally ran out, the kids gobbled up dessert like it was the last time they would taste sugar and then fled back down to the basement.

Such a fun night!

Happy New Year!
