first day of school 2018

Okay, didn't I just write about the kids getting OUT of school for the summer? Is it really already time to go back? Ugh, I'm not ready yet for all of the homework, lunch packing, back-to-school nights, 18,000 FORMS that have to be filled out for EVERY kid, the hundreds of checks the PTO asks for in the first 10 days, or the late nights running around to all the extracurricular activities!!! Can we go back to staying up late watching movies, eating popcorn for dinner and sleeping in as late as we want? Just a few more weeks please?

The first week of school was so confusing that I won't even try to explain in words, but by Thursday all four kids were in school! It was CRAZY! For me, I mean. No kids at home!

THIRD grade for this girl. She REFUSED to wear the adorable dress we got her at Nordstrom, and opted for a comfortably worn favorite. Choose your battles, right?! Happy and confident looks better than any dress...

FIFTH and final year in elementary school for this cutie! Brooklyn had this whole combo picked out for weeks in advance of the first day of school. Love the way she pulled it all together along with her braided hair. Lookin' great, as usual...

She's very particular about the hair!!...

Seventh, fifth, third and Kindergarten for these awesome kiddos...

SEVENTH grade already?! NO!! Don't do it, Ella, don't do it!! Don't leave me, please! =-) This girl is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!...

And just like that, my baby boy is gone...
