Thursday morning was all about the cowboys! We ate breakfast at our hotel where the cowboys made their first appearance and caused a little mischief while we were eating. Then we watched them "perform" in the town's cowboy shoot-out where there were gun fights, horses, and some pretty funny acting. One of the cowboys got shot and when he fell over dead on the ground he landed in a big pile of horse poop. Yuck. "That costume's going to the cleaners," was all I could think.
We left Williams and headed to a deer farm. This place had about 100 deer roaming around that you could pet and feed. So we got a few cups full of food for them and walked in to feed them. They immediately swarmed us and tried to eat everything we had in our hands and on our bodies. It was hilarious!! The Baby Bijorn straps that were hanging down went straight into a deer's mouth, along with the blanket I had around Kendall and Kendall's toes that were hanging out of the bottom of the blanket. They even chewed on the bottom of my pants. They were all over my mom, too, which was so funny because she is soooo not an animal person. Brooklyn, of course, was terrified! And, Ella, of course, was loving it.
They also had a camel that we got to pet and feed, reindeer, pigs, goats, etc. It's so funny because, you know when you go to the zoo and they have the farm animal petting zoo section that you totally try to avoid because it just seems really dirty and disgusting (and of course you don't want your kids touching anything!). Well, this place was kinda like that only we actually paid a lot of money to touch every disgusting thing they had and have all of our clothes sucked on by the deer. I think we were all feeling like a shower when we left, but it was tons of fun. Especially seeing my mom attacked by deer. That was awesome. =-) Neither of us could stop laughing, especially when a llama spit on me - TWICE!
Suited up and ready to feed the deer.Ella making friends with the camel.
