Kendall's Penguin Production

Kendall worked for weeks and weeks with her Kindergarten class on their Penguin Production. Each student, along with their 4th grade buddy, had to choose one of the 17 species of penguins to research. Then they performed a short play, sang songs and displayed all their facts about their particular penguin. It was adorable.

Kendall chose the Little Blue (Fairy) Penguin after a visit to the Camden Aquarium, where she met seven Little Blues who had just arrived from Australia. It was so fun seeing them in person and learning more about the smallest of the 17 species of penguins. Did you know Little Blues weigh around two pounds and have blue feathers?

At Kendall's display table, she had a recyclable Little Blue Penguin that she and Ella made together using a water bottle, cotton balls, colored paper and lots of hot glue; she also had a facts page and a clay model of the Little Blue...
