Second Child

Brooklyn turned ONE on April 19th, and I didn't so much as send out a single picture of the big event (I wasn't blogging at that point either). I still feel horrible! And the problem wasn't because she is the second child and "yada yada." The problem was it was a total non-event (I might even go as far as to say it was a total disaster)! Little Miss B. had to be TAKEN OUT of the restaurant after three minutes because she wouldn't sit still long enough to eat anything and she kept screaming, she HATED ice cream and REFUSED to even touch her birthday cake. So much for getting any cute pictures of her with cake and ice cream smeared all over her face, hands, clothes and high chair.

At any rate, here is what I love about this adorable second child...
- she couldn't be any more opposite than her older sister in EVERY WAY!
- she has the most beautiful, big, blue eyes!
- she can throw a tantrum better than any child, no matter their age (yes, even yours)!
- friends and perfect strangers constantly comment on her adorable face and how truly happy and sweet she seems!
- she stomps her feet really fast when she's angry, when she's happy, when she wants something, and when she's dancing (go figure).
- she loves playing in the dirt and collecting sticks and rocks.
- when it comes to Macaroni and Cheese, she can out-eat her big sister any day (and that's saying A LOT!).
- aside from loss of appetite and a runny nose, you would never know this little girl has had a massive double ear infection for nearly four months straight now (tubes to be added next month)!
- she likes to go down slides standing straight up.

I love you Brooklyn! Happy first birthday... again!
