It was another fun and exciting season of Reading Olympics for Ella and Brooklyn. I was lucky enough to be a coach for Brooklyn's team this year, and we had fun spending one lunch recess a week together playing games and holding 'mock' competitions to learn all we could about the assigned books. The night before the competition, Brooklyn finished the last of the 40 books on the Reading Olympics book list for 2019. I'm so proud of her for taking it so seriously and reading SO MANY BOOKS!!
All of her hard work reading every single book paid off the night of the competition. Brooklyn and her "Word Wizards" teammates killed it at the competition and placed in the highest category, winning blue ribbons. Way to go Word Wizards!
