The fun never ends at the cabin and Grandma Sugar does a great job supplying the kids with plenty of stuff to keep the kiddos entertained. This year, again, she had lots of craft kits that the girls could manage on their own (hallelujah for that). She also found online sewing patterns to make the girls sleeping bags and bean bags for their American Girl Dolls. They turned out AMAZING. Seriously, Sugar should open a shop with all of the cute things she makes (pillow cases, tooth fairy pillows, make-up bags, etc).
Sugar had these cute rain coats and hats made for the American Girl Dolls, too. Can you see their bean bag chairs underneath them? The dolls are watching TV...
Movie party on the grass with lots of popcorn is the kids favorite night-time activity, I think...
Brave Aunt Nicole took a group of kids fishing down at the neighborhood lake. Here's Ledger, Cave, Hudson, Blake and Case...
It's always good to have at least one girl on a boys fishing trip, don't you think!? Thanks for stepping in Kendall...
They survived...
The Rec Center at the country club is another form of entertainment for the kids. Why they enjoy playing with mice, though, is beyond me!... Brooklyn, Case, Hudson, Presley, and Blake...
Hudson and Blake sharing a swing...
Hiking around the forest and finding sticks is always a good idea with boys...
Presley, Brooklyn and Ella enjoying craft time inside the Rec Center...
Berkley and Kendall...
I think Sugar might have the cutest grandkids on the planet. Presley, Brooklyn and Cave...
This bounce house during water week at the Rec Center kept these two boys busy, out of trouble, and in one place for a while...
These two were the best of friends the whole time! They are like two peas in a pod. Not only do they look like they could be siblings with their super blonde hair and blue eyes, but their personalities and dispositions are exactly the same. Their sudden friendship and bonding this summer was such a happy surprise to me!...
While my grandma and grandpa Pomeroy aren't able to come to their cabin anymore, it still gets enjoyed by family year round. We love stopping over there to reminisce about the good'ole days when my family used to spend family vacations up there. Not much has changed in the place, which is fine with me!...
The zip line was put up last summer and is still getting plenty of use this year. I can't even begin to count how many times Kendall and Case took turns taking each other up to the top of the line and back again...
The worst part about going to the cabin every summer is saying goodbye to everyone we love and had so much fun with. Brooklyn cried for three days straight when we left and all my kids are asking when we can go back to Arizona to see everyone again. Soon, I hope!
