Mount Tom Day Camp

My friend Doug owns Mount Tom Day Camp in New Rochelle, NY. Every summer he tells me to bring the kids up for a week to try out the camp. This summer it finally worked with our schedule. So, I packed up the kids and drove up to New Rochelle where we spent the week at his awesome camp. The kids - all four - had a BALL!!

Mount Tom is located at the artist, Norman Rockwell's, old historical estate. The building and grounds were amazing, and huge...

It didn't take long for the kids to make lots of new friends in their groups...

Each day of camp was filled with tons of fun activities including swimming, rock climbing, archery, arts and crafts, music, tennis, cooking, zip lining, and more...

Brooklyn with some of her new friends...

On Friday, they had a balloon artist come and put on a show. His show was like no other I've ever seen. It was incredible. As he's telling a story - like The Three Little Pigs - he's calling up kids from the audience to be the characters in the story, and then he's making their costumes, and houses, and props out of balloons. It was crazy! Ella got chosen to be a wife in one story and Brooklyn to be one of the seven dwarfs in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs...

That's Ella in the blue shirt walking on stage...

That's Brooklyn with the balloon hat on...

Hudson had some serious separation anxiety every morning of camp, but once there, he was good to go...

The kids with my friend Doug. Doug and I met a LOOOONG time ago when we were both working at New York Life Insurance in Manhattan. Ella is holding up the shirt she painted in t-shirt painting class...

So adorable, right?! They fell asleep this way after an exhaustingly fun day at camp...
