An afternoon making bird houses at the cabin...
There's nothing like a hammer and nails to make you feel totally cool and manly. Ell and I had fun building her house, while Ryan helped Brooklyn put hers together. After the bird houses were assembled, the kids went to work painting them. Ella wanted to make hers look like "nature," and Brooklyn picked all her favorite colors (every shade of pink and purple). They all turned out so different and unique matching everyone's personalities.
Ella spent hours painting her bird house making sure the grass, sky, flowers, etc. were just right.
Brooklyn used so much paint on hers it was practically dripping by the time she was done, but it turned out beautiful.
Brooklyn's proud of her bird house. It was so colorful and pretty.
Even after the rest of the kids were done painting their bird houses and long gone, Ella was still working hard on hers. She loves painting and animals, so what could be better than painting a house for a bird!?
Every surface was painted.
