One of the girls most favorite things to do up here at the cabin is to hang out at the country club Recreation Center doing crafts all day long. The young girls that volunteer there over the summer are so fun and cute and they come up with great little crafts and activities for the kids to do all day long. So far we've made tie-dye T-shirts, CD space ships, styrofoam people, salt dough figures, ceramics, beaded necklaces, decorative candles, and lots of other random things. The girls have also loved playing dodgeball with all other kids up there, and going on scavenger hunts. It's an ideal place for Ella and Brooklyn to hang out cause they get to do what they love best - CRAFTING!
Dying their t-shirts... and hands, and faces and elbows, and legs. Apparently, the garbage bag smocks didn't help much.
I love when Ryan gets involved in crafting... so funny. Brooklyn and Ledger did totally different designs and they both turned out so cool.

The scavenger hunt the rec center teenagers put together was so fun for the kids and kept them busy for two hours. It was awesome. Ella, Brooklyn and their team of girls won first place on the hunt (the boy cousins were not happy about losing to a bunch of girls!). They found everything before everyone else - with a little help from mom. It's sad that I had a lot of the random objects they needed in the bottom of my purse. Things like an Ace of Spades, crayons, water bottle, a pencil, piece of candy, and a few other things.
Brooklyn and her cousin Berkley hung out together all week while the big kids were golfing, playing tennis, and hanging out in the rec center.
